Former Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleiman has completed a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah after a short spell with German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
The 20-year-old Nigerian joins a new-look Al-Qadsiah side coached by Brendan Rodgers, as he looks to rebuild momentum after a frustrating period in Germany.
Suleiman leaves RB Leipzig after limited opportunities
Suleiman joined RB Leipzig in January 2026 after moving from Slovakian club AS Trenčín, but he did not make a competitive first-team appearance for the Bundesliga side.
His time in Germany was affected by fitness problems, which restricted his chances of breaking into the senior team.
A fresh start in Saudi Arabia
The move to Al-Qadsiah gives Suleiman an opportunity to secure regular playing time and restart his development at senior level.
At just 20, the Nigerian winger still has significant room to grow and will hope to establish himself in the Saudi Pro League.
Suleiman impressed in Slovakia
Before his move to Leipzig, Suleiman had built a solid reputation at AS Trenčín.
He joined the Slovakian club in 2024 after an impressive spell with Akwa United in Nigeria and went on to score five goals in 34 league appearances.
Flying Eagles experience
Suleiman was also part of the Nigeria Flying Eagles squad that competed at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
That international experience, combined with his time in Europe, gives Al-Qadsiah a young winger with both technical ability and room for further development.
Al-Qadsiah move offers chance to revive career
After a difficult spell at RB Leipzig, Sani Suleiman will now be aiming to rediscover his best form in Saudi Arabia.
